Ceramics Production Assistant 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

☺ Ceramic production - including trimming, adding handles, waxing,  painting, sanding, washing, finishing, and glazing vessels

☺ Mold making 

☺ Assisting with loading and unloading kiln

☺ Studio organization, cleaning, and upkeep

☺ Packing and shipping 

☺ Picking up supplies from Armadillo Clay

 

QUALIFICATIONS

☺ Hardworking, strong work ethic, but fun

☺ Willingness to go above and beyond

☺ Ability to self-direct on to-do lists

☺ Anticipate what needs to be done, but unafraid to ask questions

☺ Highly organized & motivated 

☺ Excellent communication skills

☺ Great time-management skills

 

REQUIREMENTS 

☺ Must live in Austin, TX area

☺ Must be able to lift at least 50 lb.

☺ Ideally someone with a passion for ceramics (wheel throwing, hand-building, and slip-casting)

☺ Knowledge of clay is a plus, but not required

 

Job Details 

☺ Compensation *based on skills/experience*

☺ 8-10 hrs / week
